Dear Friend,
Many of you have written in and asked for our opinions of the quit smoking counter type devices. Even though this assessment is somewhat over due I believe that it was well worth the wait.
More Quit Smoking Tools

There are an in increasing number of products hitting the market today. You’ve got the stop smoking pills like Chantix and Zyban. You’ve got stop smoking using hypnotherapy. Others find success using smoking cessation support groups. While others find success in a one on one scenario where the therapist works with you only. That in my assessment is the most expensive. That does not mean that you are getting short changed if you select to have therapy in a group setting.

Once you break down the barriers to smoking, most quit smoking candidates are relatively alike. If you’ve been a slave to chain smoking or if you are a “social smoker” (whatever that really is,) you can benefit from using a counter to help you establish more mental power behind your decision to quit forever. Many people have done it, so why not you?

The only way this does not work for you is if you are afraid to give it a try. Here’s what you can do if you really want to quit smoking.

Quit Smoking High Tech Tools

There are multiple products that do the same thing but in different ways. 1. You have the software program that comes in a MAC and Windows based version. It will calculate how much money you have saved, how many cigarettes you have saved, length of time from the last cigarette or cigar you have had and many more features on some of them.

What is utterly amazing is the amount of applications and uses these products come in now. You have a widget that can be placed on a blog. This is quite nifty, especially since you probably interact with computers quite regularly.

You also have applications that are applied to your smart phone or iPhone. This is really a great idea because everyone goes around with their phone on them these days. It makes a good use of ones time especially if you are tracking towards being smoke free forever.

Best Quit Smoking Counter Tools Around

Popular websites that were found using our research:
1. QuitSmokingCounter.com
2. Quitmeter.com
3. Quitsmokingsupport.com/counters.htm

Another tool that you can use is that of quit smoking hypnosis cds. You can read on below to find out a stellar way to get going on this tactic to.

Go on over to Ebay.com. That’s right the auction site for literally anything. Key in the term “hypnosis cd”. The results you’ll get will point you to sellers that offer these specifically targeted cd’s to aid you in your efforts to be smoke free.

Once you get your cd’s by mail, you should map out a quit place to use them. I want you to look at your schedule and plan on using your cd for at a minimum of 3 minutes per session. You should strive to build up to 47 minutes, but start out slowly and build up a good habit before you demand more of yourself. So, for the first month your sessions should be about 3-47 minutes in length.

It is better for you to try to get on a system whereby you listen to them at least three times a day.

The big pay off will come later on. But think about this, you went on Ebay and purchased these cd’s to help you quit smoking. By listening to them you’ve learned and reprogrammed your mind to be that of a non-smoker almost with NO effort.

You are to be commended on your decision to quit smoking using the hypnosis cd to quit smoking is wise and easy.

Dear Friend,
If you are ready to quit smoking you should know first of all that there is a lot of help around you. You could use a quit smoking forum. A buddy list at American Lung Association web portals. You literally have many more options that were just not available many generations ago. In fact, people still were successful with quitting smoking even though they did not have all of the modern tools available today.

What they really started with is the same thing you will have to bring to any quit smoking program today, that is your decision to quit.

Your Conscious Haunts You to Quit

Each and everyday you will have to live out your decision to quit. With the small nuances you will feel the overriding push to light up. This thanks to the automatic nature of the way we do things today out of habit.

Your habits can and should be the first to change. Why? If you decide to quit cigarettes for example and still go out to the same places where smoking is allowed, you will feel more pressure to smoke to. Why? Because out of habit, your body will almost go into auto-pilot without even thinking.

That is why in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and many addiction treatment programs, they require members to stay away from old established places where they would drink. It is no different here.

If you were addicted to casino gambling, and your therapist said stay out of the casinos, don’t even play the Ohio Powerball for the mega payout of $100 million bucks paid once a month, don’t buy that ticket. It might seem like a chance in a lifetime deal for you. But doing so would only reinforce the behavior or habit you NEED to break.

Free Quit Smoking Help

Quit smoking help is available. You could use the American Lung Associations website to keep up on the reading material for quit smoking programs. The more you know, the more likely you will be able to handle the stress of change your body will be under after you quit.

Quit smoking “cold turkey” does work to. But let’s be straight here, for many people it does not work. That is not a problem either. What you have got to understand is that nothing works for 100% of every smoker. Nothing does!

At the same time, once you increase your knowledge of what is working for others it gives you encouragement to find your place. To do it as Frank Sinatra would say, “My Way”.

Get Unbiased Unfiltered Real User Reviews

Your way can be easily supported with: quit smoking forums, nicotine replacement patches, gum, inhalers, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, quit smoking hypnosis, stop smoking programs, herbal supplements, pills like Zyban and Chantix and the list could go on and on.

What I want to leave you with is this. You should find a way to hit your quit smoking goals by using more than just one product or program. I call this stacking. Use the hypnosis, pills, herbs, group therapy all at the same time.

Surely you can make it to your first 48 hours. I would venture to say you could do that without any of the aforementioned products. Reason why I know this is because millions of people have already done so. They quit without any of these programs and products and so can you.

But if you want an easier time, just use the stacking power of these tools.

Dear Friend,
Millions of people today are lured to quit smoking hypnotism sessions with the goal of quitting cigarettes for easily. Can this be true? Is it really that simple?

Let’s take a look.

History of Hypnosis

For millions of people that need a boost to let go of something that is a sticking point or a stronghold, they will seek therapy. The therapist may talk with you about your troubled marriage for years. They will delve into your background, upbringing, childhood heartaches and pains. Seeking to find a resolution for your current problems or perceptions of a problem. This has all been proven to be helpful.

Problems With Hypnosis?

But there is a fly in the ointment so to speak. You see, the misperception by the patient is that the therapist “healed” them. When in essence, no healing could be manifested without the patients consent. In other words, the patient healed themselves. If healing is too strong a term for you, then we will say that the patient got out of their own way. The roadblocks to the goals we often say we want to experience is not that the goal is to large, big or unwieldy, but the solution to the problem is often within ourselves.

Quit smoking hypnosis is nothing more than a tool. It should be seen as such in the right hands. It can help you. Why? Because it has already helped millions of people.

Any time a person perceives something as a block to their progress and they have not learned how to get around that block, it becomes a sticking point, a stronghold so to speak. Every attempt that proves a failure, they perceive it to be because “I just cannot speak in front of crowds” or some other big fear.

Dale Carnegie’s organization has done wonders with helping people become better communicators, how? By giving them first the training, and secondly an opportunity to use their new skills. Toastmasters is another group that has done well in the public speaking department in particular.

How Quit smoking hypnosis Works

Those that scoff at hypnosis as a way to help stop smoking often do not really know how the entire procedure works. Their only experience with hypnosis is limited to what they’ve seen in Las Vegas style shows, where a comically dressed man puts someone in a trance and then makes them dance around like a chicken or quack like a duck every time they hear the phone ring.

While these shows may be cute and entertaining, quit smoking hypnosis is actually very different. All hypnosis works by the power of suggestion; by putting someone in a very light trance, they are more able to concentrate on what it is that you’re suggesting to them. Once their mind is cleared and they are able to focus on the hypnotist’s words, they can then be better able to receive and then consequently act on those suggestions.

So if you’re someone who is trying to quit smoking, and perhaps you think you’ve exhausted all your other options, you may want to think about taking a chance with quit smoking hypnosis. After all, what do you have to lose except that bad habit of smoking?

Dear Friend,
The question almost on every smokers minds is what would it take
for “Me” to quit? Well, there are so many therapies (like the quit
smoking patches, pills and inhalers) anti-smoking
aids available to you that you need only supply that which those
products do not. What is that? Will Power!

Will power is stronger than any quit smoking product. The chemicals
researcher come up with are very powerful. In fact, smoking itself is
truly powerful. Smoking is just as addicting as heroine or many other
illicit drugs.

How to quit smoking for good is not an easy process. Don’t let anyone fool you. Smoking involves multiple factors including but not limited to the physical addiction that the smokes often provide. People have and will be successful by quitting cold turkey so to speak. But this was is not the best way for many people.

Read on and to explore why.

The biggest boost for those that have been successful with kicking the habit has been because they were willing to change their habits. You see, we all are creatures of habit. Everyday we do countless little things and other bigger things all out of habit. So, before we get to far into this post please understand that YOU can and should quit smoking. If you have not seen the latest statistics on smoking related deaths. We should clear the air right now.

COPD or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a disease that has been directly linked to smoking. Sure people raise their hands and say what about working at the foundry or chemical plant inhaling noxious fumes and gases for 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Well, you may have a point on that case. But the overwhelming majority of people that cause COPD to be the fourth leading cause of death in the United States of America have died because of their own self willed habits.

The first suggestion for you is to gather enough mental will power because that is what it’ll take to get that habit out of your life. Sure you can get Chantix or Zyban which are drugs used to ASSIST you in kicking the habit. But the majority of the power won’t come from a pill. It won’t come from outside of you. Your will to live and get healthy has to start first with a positive mental attitude.

But how do you get that if you’ve smoked 20 pack years since you were twelve years old and working in the coal mines to support your family after your father walked off with the rent money. Take a look in the mirror first and decide. That’s right make a decision that this is it. No more excuses. No more whining and wheezing out of it. Then go get a book by Maxwell Maltz called Psycho Cybernetics.

This book by Maltz a famous plastic surgeon can change your life IF YOU WILL LET IT. The book can be purchased new of used it doesn’t matter. Amazon has it both ways for dirt cheap. What matters is that you buy it, READ it and APPLY IT TO help you quit smoking for good.

Dear Friend,
Quit smoking side effects often occur because a few factors. One of them is because you are attempting to stop the ingesting of a drug. This is a legal drug true. But a drug no doubt that causes many symptoms of withdrawal.

Whenever you abruptly discontinue using a drug that your body was expecting to get a dose, it will show you. This happens to millions of smokers because their bodies have built up a dependency for that drug dose.

Many who are trying to quit smoking are going “cold turkey,” that is, they are just stopping abruptly without the use of any quit smoking aids that are available to them. There may be medical reasons for this, or some may simply feel as if they “should” be able to quit on their own.

Going cold turkey may help to get excessive nicotine out of your system quickly, using within a few days or so, however, the withdrawal symptoms are usually pretty severe and intense, as is the physical discomfort that goes with this. Many people find themselves itching for a cigarette very quickly on, and when this happens, you would do well to consider using some of those quit smoking aids at your disposal.

Do Quit Smoking Aids Really Work?

The happy news for anyone in this situation is that most quit smoking aids, even those available over the counter at your local pharmacy, seem to have good results for those who use them. They are usually very affordable and easy to use, and have few side effects.

Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) is a popular choice for quit smoking aids. This may include the patch, gum, spray, or inhaler. These products work by allowing nicotine into your system gradually over a longer period of time, thereby reducing your cravings for a cigarette. The other advantage to these types of quit smoking aids is that, unlike cigarettes which consist of thousands of poisonous and/or carcinogenic chemicals, NRTs contain only nicotine. Additionally, the chemical reaction that happens when one burns cigarettes causes those around a smoker to suffer consequences as well, something that doesn’t happen with the patch, gum, inhaler, or spray.

Other quit smoking aids may be available from your doctor and are in pill form. Most are considered mild anti-depressants, and work by calming and relaxing you, thereby decreasing your nervous habit of reaching for a cigarette. Some however have more severe side effects than those products you would get over the counter, and should be used only when under a doctor’s care.

In the end, trying to go cold turkey may be an option for you, but if you’re worried that it just won’t work are aren’t really looking forward to the withdrawal symptoms and the cravings – and your family isn’t looking forward to them either! – then you have a wealth of options when it comes to q

Dear Friend,
Quit smoking symptoms often vary from smoker to smoker. But what they are, how you get them, and more importantly how long will they last will be revealed below.

First off congratulations to you for your decision to quit smoking. Doing a little research now can go a long way towards knowing what to expect of your body when it goes through the process.

Did you know that nicotine is often as addictive as many illicit hard street drugs? For instance, heroine, cocaine ( in many formulations) is just as addictive as nicotine.

The nicotine addiction has become dependent by the body for “life”. When that dose of nicotine is quickly cut off, the body goes into panic mode. Now, this is commonly referred to as what many who are trying to quit smoking are going “cold turkey,” that is, they are just stopping abruptly without the use of any quit smoking aids that are available to them.

Nicotine replacement therapy (NT) is a popular choice for quit smoking aids. This may include the patch, gum, spray, or inhaler. These products work by allowing nicotine into your system gradually over a longer period of time, thereby reducing your cravings for a cigarette. The other advantage to these types of quit smoking aids is that, unlike cigarettes which consist of thousands of poisonous and/or carcinogenic chemicals, CRTs contain only nicotine. Additionally, the chemical reaction that happens when one burns cigarettes causes those around a smoker to suffer consequences as well, something that doesn’t happen with the patch, gum, inhaler, or spray.

So as you undergo NT, it would be in your best interest to channel some of your new found energy in a constructive way. How about taking up Kick Boxing? You could do Pilates. Or even Yoga. Anything where you are doing physical activity regularly. And of course you always consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program. By taking things to a physical level, you will in essence be able to avoid the 10 pound bump.

The 10 pound bump is just the average number of pounds non-smokers usually gain. For many folks ten is just to many pounds.

– then you have a wealth of options when it comes to quitting successfully.

Dear Friend,
Quit smoking weight gain happens to more people than would be willing to admit it. Some preliminary research shows that people that quit often quickly gain about 10 pounds. That is not a lot of weight, but for those who are used to looking and feeling lighter it could be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Do you have to gain weight though? That is not a tough question. in fact there are so many things you can do to avoid the proverbial “10 pound bump” that many doctors know is cause for concern for many former smokers.

What to do to avoid gaining the weight?

1. Very simply, you should avoid the carbohydrate loading that many foods you have not been able to taste and now have a craving for. Nicotine is a very potent appetite suppressant. It actually help back your urge and desire to eat. If you make a concerted effort to retrain your “new” taste buds, you should be able to steer around this speed bump with ease.

In order to make wiser food choices, you must avoid allowing yourself to get to hungry. If you work at an office and can bring snacks around your computer or office space, why would you not want to pack along some healthy and nutritional snacks? The trick here is to avoid letting yourself becoming ravaged. If you eat a steady amount of slow burning foods throughout the work day, have a decent lunch and dinner, you should be well on the road to avoiding the 10 pound bump.

2. Another step you can use is to beginning some form of regular physical activity. This is something you should do while at the doctor and he or she is advising you on the latest quit smoking pills, nicotine replacement inhalers or patches that many are using with success today.

As you read this the odds are that you have already been to the doctor and been told that you have to quit smoking. If you have already done so congratulations. By taking the two steps shared above, you should be able to get and stay healthy and fit.

Avoid Lung Cancer Now

Many people understand that smoking and lung cancer are intrinsically related, that is, you can rarely have one without the other. But with all the treatment options available for people today, is there still a connection between smoking and lung cancer? What are the odds that a smoker will get this disease? Is there anything a doctor can do to help?

Unfortunately, lung cancer and smoking are still very much related. Smoking is the leading cause of the disease, and there still is no known cure.

Cancer of the lung is when tissue of the organ grows out of control. This may lead to metastasis, invasion of adjacent tissue and infiltration beyond the lungs. Lung cancer is the most common form of cancer-related death in men and second most common for women. There are an estimated 1.3 million deaths worldwide suffered annually from this disease.

Smoking causes lung cancer in about 90% of cases. A man who smokes has a 17% chance of getting lung cancer – that means that for male smokers, one out of five will get the disease. For women, the statistics are closer to 11%, or one out of ten.

Dear Friend,
You are to be commended on your decision to quit smoking. This is one of the biggest steps you will take in your life. Quitting is not as difficult for some people. Mainly because everyone’s body will respond differently. The facts are clear, you may or may not experience quit smoking withdrawal symptoms. Being prepared for the worst case scenario is really the best approach to this.

But how do you prepare for these symptoms?

First, it is important to recognize what is happening to your body since you started smoking. As you initiated smoking however many years ago that was. Your body initially did not like the inhalation of noxious fumes, gases, and smoke. The nicotine (DRUG) included in the cigarettes was readily tolerated by the body. Why? Because our bodies were created to learn to adapt to various stimuli as a coping mechanism.

Now that you are deciding to stop smoking, your body will be a little thrown off. Well actually, it will be thrown into a tizzy or a fit looking for something that has been coming for however many years you have been smoking. Almost like clockwork. It grew to expect another dose of nicotine was on the way.

Chances are, you probably had cigarettes at predetermined internals throughout the day. Some people have to light up when they are at the bowling alley. Others immediately following a good meal. The scenarios are endless.

Now to be fair here, nicotine is a powerful appetite suppressant. That means that another property of this drug is that of curbing your hunger. Some people find that as they quit smoking, their appetite just ramps up. They are “hungry all the time doc”. We here it all the time. Really their taste buds are coming alive again, they can taste the foods better now. Nicotine also impaired taste buds to.

How to Cut Your Cravings Down

Now here is the bombshell. Researchers have documented millions of cases to find out that your quit smoking withdrawal symptoms will reach their maximum intensity within 48 hours of quitting. Isn’t that great!

It sure is and let’s address why. If my cravings for nicotine max out within 48 hours, this means that you only have to last for 48 hours. So, don’t think about quitting smoking for the rest of your life. That is to big for your mind to wrap itself around. Instead, use this little known secret to your advantage and get busy.

Surely you can distract yourself for 48 hours. Many people just overload themselves with things to do during that first 48 hours. This is the key for you to try to.

Nicotine patches are a great option for some. They help you to quit smoking by releasing small amounts of nicotine into your system over a prolonged period of time, this way you have less withdrawal symptoms and less cravings, making the process that much easier to manage.

Nicotine gum works in much the same way, but it’s important to remember that this shouldn’t be chewed like real gum. It usually needs to sit in the mouth for 30 minutes or so, nestled against the cheek and teeth.

So if you’re someone who has made the determination to quit smoking, don’t despair. There is help available, and if you’re ready to accept that help, then you too can be one of the successful people who can rightly call themselves a non-smoker.

Dear Friend,
Stop smoking herbs have become a popular alternative for many people who are seeking to quit tobacco products. As you know, tobacco containing products including dipping “snuff”, chewing tobacco, and the smoking kind are all rather lethal to your health.

How To Count The Smoking Cost

When it is time to quit smoking, and you have made the important decision to do this, can you turn to many of the quit smoking aids for help? That question deserves to be answered because any time you are risking your health on something, that is costly.

No quit smoking device is free. What is free, is what you must provide. You have to bring the will power. You have to have the determination and perseverance to see this through to completion. No pill, potion, powder, herb or any other thing can provide what you MUST bring.

It is definitely not impossible to do without all of these quit smoking products. “Cold Turkey” was what millions of people used before we have all of these products. But come to think of it, our early ancestors had access to natural ingredients like Chinese Yixing herbal, non-tobacco menthol and cinnamon cigarettes. These have been around since the beginning of creation.

So what are some stop smoking herbs that you can try, and how can you know the best ones for you?

Most Stop Smoking Herbs are Effective

The good news about over-the-counter or relatively affordable stop smoking herbs is that most of them are very effective. For example, one of the most popular options, the nicotine patch, works by releasing nicotine into your system slowly over a long period of time. This helps to calm your cravings for nicotine and keeps you from reaching for that cigarette. Some are designed to be worn for 24 hours, while others need to come off at night or stay on only for half a day. They are of course waterproof and do little damage to the skin; a mild rash or irritation is the only side effect that many report.

Nicotine gum is another effective stop smoking aid that many people have success with. The gum works much like the patch in that it slowly releases nicotine into the body’s system. Nicotine gum isn’t like regular gum in that it can’t be chewed endlessly; most brands of nicotine gum come with instructions on how to nestle the gum between the cheek and the teeth for some time in between chewing. Many people appreciate nicotine gum as a stop smoking aid because it gives them something to chew on and relieves some of that restlessness that many smokers report when they first try to quit.

There are of course other stop smoking herbs, from pills to hypnotherapy. Many of these are reported to be very effective by those who have tried them. Most report the best success when they couple these aids with things such as regular exercise, a better diet, regular water intake to keep themselves hydrated and to help flush out the lingering toxins from cigarettes, and of course family support.

Of course each individual will need to make up their own mind about what stop smoking herbs he or she will try, and of course it’s best to consult with one’s doctor, but the bottom line is that if you’re ready to stop smoking, there are plenty of items out there that can help.

Dear Friend,
Quit smoking effects more than the average smoker is willing to admit. You never know just how many people are impacting by your desire to stop smoking. In fact, it is more than a desire for many people because they see their loved ones health wafting in the wind due to their own negligence when it comes to smoking.

Smoking alone has killed millions of people. But would you believe that from 1960 to 1990, the deaths from lung cancer among women have soared some 400%? This is the truth. You can check those statistics online at the American Lung Associations website.

Women have replaced the men as the population or demographic that has taken a liking to smoking. How tragic. The American Cancer Society estimated that for 1994 along, over 64,300 or so women died from lung cancer. While during the same period only 44,300 died due to breast cancer. Wouldn’t you like to know how to NOT be one of them?

Of course. So when it comes to quit smoking effects, you have everything from the environment. Think about it. millions of people are smoking more and more today. Mainly younger women and teens are craving the nicotine habit.

Is it supposed to be COOL? It’s not! Hazarding your health is one thing, but due to the overwhelming nature or secondhand smoke, your selfish habit is impacting all of those people around you. From your pet, to the man or woman on the street.

When you learn how to stop smoking, you will surely be able to persuade others to do the same thing. Someone has to take the lead. Why not you.

Many of you may sound off about this is your “inalienable right” to do what they want with their own bodies. But as we have explained up above, unless you are smoking out in space somewhere, your smoking affects us all. Whether it be the contribution your smoking makes to the eroding of the ozone layer or the contribution to the smog in your city. We have one planet to save and that should be your goal.

Another quit smoking effects is the potential for weight gain. This in hindsight is probably on the minds of many women. Studies have shown that on average women gain about 15 pounds or more when they quit smoking. Well, this should not deter you from making being a non-smoker your goal. Not just next year but right now.

To accompany your new found smoking cessation goal, why not decide to put yourself through the beginnings of a physical fitness regimen. It does not have to be anything spectacular. If you are like most adult citizens in the US you have some weight to shed. The pounds will likely roll off of you provided you do some form of physical activity. There really isn’t any other way around it folks.

People are coming up with so many new ways to get and stay fit. Many of these products are a waste of money. Why? Because researchers have shown that the average person does not stick with any routine long enough to get to the easy part.

The easy part of a fitness habit is just that. Staying with it long enough for it to become a habit for you. Once you do that, it is really all downhill.
